yeast infection/bacterial vaginosis?
i went to the doctor 2 months ago with a yeast infection and the doctor gave me one pill to lug because she said it was only a mild infection and probably caused by antibiotics i be on before. over the next two weeks it still didnt feel right down in that.. the pill seemed to have helped but my discharge be still thick (paste-like) and had a weird smell. afterwards it got worse..it started itching really bad.. it was so humiliated. so i went back to the doctor and this time she told me it was bacterial vaginosis... even though it feel exactly the same as before only worse. she give me 14 pills and told me to take them twice a day for 7 days. i did this. the pills made my mouth dry and taste close to metal and my pee dark and smell horrible but i kept taking them. this was two weeks ago and STILL something feels wrong. my discharge is still tacky (not AS thick as before but thicker than when everything felt normal).. and every once contained by a while it gets a slight itching feeling, a tickling feeling almost, that with the sole purpose stays for a few minutes. my "down there" doctor isnt covered on my insurance and i can't afford to keep going back!
i'm hoping someone could help me treat this problem myself. if i treated it approaching a yeast infection and used monistat and it ended up being BV would that make it worse? what are some home remedies for bv? any info you own please share!
Best Answer: This yeast infection treatment is quite effective with several types of infections because God has created the body with mechanisms to combat disease. So you will probably hold success using this natural routine - Yeast Infection: Douche morning and evening with a two quart hot marine bottle/douche/enema bag. Filling it with as hot of water as you can tolerate but not so hot that it burns you. This is intensely effective at killing yeast as it summons your own white blood cells to the nouns of infection and they do a splendid job of killing the infection. One or two days treatment is normally required to acquire over most yeast infections.
Answer: I don't know any home remedies but there is a prescription cream that you insert in there at bed time and the subsequent day it is gone. Clindesse (clindamycin phosphate). I don't know why the doc did not give you this in the first place. It works wonders. I imagine its about $80-$100 a tube without insurance but you wil be cured. Do not douche. It kills ordinary bacteria in the vagina and can cause Bv and yeast infections. wear cotton panties, revise pads or tampons regularly on menstrual, avoid lubricants or toys that are not sterilized (boil it) before use. I did all of these and have not had BV in over a year and used to be plagued with it. Hope this help!!
