Did GM net a critical error when scrap electric cars over 10 years ago?

Electric cars did exist over 10 years ago, but GM decided to scrap all of the cars, even though they worked faultlessly. It's all in a documentary called "Who kill the electric car?". GM sold the battery technology to an oil company and the electric vehicle was no more. If they would have worked on the battery technology, chew over of how far we would have gotten into electric cars.

Best Answer: yup. their biggest problem is they don't strive for innovation. it seems like no big american company requirements to be "laughed" at so they don't bother coming up with any new ideas. instead, they tolerate the other companies take the risk then wait to see if it's profitable since they jump on. america was built on innovative ideas! spinal column in the 50's (might be 60's) the state of california was so certain that we'd be traveling contained by flying cars by now that on some of their major highways they in actual fact build "small runway width" lanes. now that's not the case, but it go to show you that we at one point in history were willing to pilfer the first step. it won't be until something really new & creative comes along that our economy will be fully restored. and it won't be until these large companies sack up past any of that happens.
