An antibiotic is a drug that kills or slows the growth of bacteria. So it realy is intricate to say. Keep consulting your doctor about that problem. Make sure you wash everyday and dry! Very influential to dry. becuase yeast is attracted to dark moist areas. I advise that you wash within the morning, then put a none sented baby powder over the infected area, and next before you sleep use your yeast medication. It take a long time to heal sometimes. and i want you good luck! and dont scratch it!

Antibiotics cause yeast infections...stop taking them. When Juanita be diagnosed with strep throat, her doctor prescribed an antibiotic to treat the infection. But just as she be about to go back to her busy routine, Juanita notice an unusual discharge in her underwear. To make things worse, her vaginal area feel very itchy. It turns out that Juanita had a yeast infection. She told her mom about her symptoms, and her mom know that Juanita should go back to her doctor's office. There, she be relieved to find out that diagnosing and treating a yeast infection is simple and painless. What Is a Yeast Infection? A yeast infection, also known as candidiasis (pronounced: can-dih-dy-uh-sis), is the name for a common infection cause by a type of yeast-like fungus called Candida. Small numbers of Candida are always present in our bodies, but in general we have the right balance of bacteria and other factor to keep them from growing too much. Sometimes, though, these yeast-like fungi do grow too much, and this can cause an infection. These infections usually occur contained by warm, moist parts of the body, such as the mouth and moist areas of skin. When they cause an infection in the vagina, it is specified as vulvovaginal candidiasis. Candida can overgrow for many reasons. Stress, pregnancy, and illnesses that affect your immune system may allow yeast to multiply, as can certain medicine. These include some birth control pills and steroids. Or if you're taking antibiotics, such as for strep throat, the antibiotics can kill "good" bacteria that also live in the body and in general keep the growth of Candida in the vagina in check. Yeast also flourish if a girl's blood sugar is large. Girls who have diabetes that isn't controlled are at a higher risk for yeast infections. Many girls find that yeast infections tend to show up right before they bring back their periods because of the hormonal changes that come with the menstrual cycle. Clothes (especially underwear) that are too tight or are made of materials similar to nylon that trap heat and moisture might lead to yeast infections because yeast can thrive in this type of environment. And douching and using fragranced sanitary products can upset the balance in the vagina and make yeast infections more feasible. It's common for girls who are not sexually active to get yeast infections. Although yeast infections are not considered sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), they can occasionally be spread from one sexual partner to the other. This is pretty rare, however, and the partner of someone who has a yeast infection does not automatically have to be treated. What Are the Symptoms of a Yeast Infection? Common signs and symptoms of yeast infections include: itching and irritation surrounded by the vagina redness, swelling, or itching of the vulva (the folds of skin outside the vagina) a thick, white discharge that can look like cottage cheese and is usually odorless, although it might smell close to bread or yeast pain or burning when urinating or during sex If you have any of these symptoms, it's important to see your doctor or gynecologist. It's confident to confuse the symptoms of a yeast infection with those of some sexually transmitted diseases and other vaginal infections. Your doctor can give you the right diagnosis.

Contact your doctor again, but it sounds like a yeast infection that's just not responding to what your doctor tried first. Antibiotics kill in cold blood bacteria, including the "good" bacteria that keeps yeast surrounded by balance, in your body. Some people are more potential to have that problem than others. Now that you know you have this side-effect, eat yogurt and/or lift acidophilus every day when you take antibiotics from now on, and ask your doctor roughly how else to prevent a yeast infection, next time you have to take an antibiotic. The infection isn't above all harmful, but it's sure not fun.

Antibiotics kill off all kind of bacteria. In your case they not only kill off the bad bacteria you be trying to get rid of, but also probably some of the good bacteria you want in your system to fight infections. Whenever you get antibiotics, another sickness is other a possibility (this is the most common occurance of outbreaks of clostridium difficile coilitis). Always consult your doctor when that happens and ask that they are not just covering up your topical symptoms, but also treating the root cause (for example, some doctors mistakenly treat c. dif. sufferers with anti-diarrhea meds when they get diarrhea after taking hulking amount of antibiotics... which is not good!).

What you need to do is start eating yogurt. It contains Lactobacillius and it is extremely good for the unprocessed balance of your body. You will also need to stay away from douches, since they can make the infection worse. If you are unqualified to eat yogurt for whatever reason buy some acidopholus and pinch it. Be sure to keep it in the refrigerator. If you have any other question you can contact me on yahoo messenger BelovedEnigma
