It sounds just like yeast infection'and yes they do own the samre cream what the docter gives you.Ask the pharmasist to find it or direct you to the ointment.If it does get more itchy or bumpy that hurt afterwards get to your docter asap.OMG. me too!! I am also 27 weeks, and itching like crazy. I'm going to buy some calendula ointment tomorrow at the health food store and try that. i other go for the natural alternatives first. I'm not sure if monistat is safe. Maybe someone else can relate us.

Monistat cream is safe, and so is the "egg" that you insert. Your doctor will most likely perscribe something, though, so it is best to see him or her.You should NOT treat any infection without notify your OB first. You don't know if the over the counter meds aren't good for baby or not. Obviously you should call your doc and explain to him/her what's going on. Chances are they'd want to see you a lot sooner than those 2 wks because if left untreated it's not good any. You need a doctor to prescribe you some med.

When I was asbout 24 weeks, intercourse hurt sooooooooooooo bad and I did own a yeast infection. I was prescribed a cream and I can't remember the name of it. I suggest you INSIST on seeing your doctor since any kind of infection that go untreated can affect your baby.
