On Tuesday night i woke up for work (3rd shift) and was very irritated within my vaginal area. I have had a yeast infection beforehand from antibiotics and am aware of the irritation and discharge that comes along with it. this was definitely like peas in a pod feeling but no discharge. It was painful throughout the darkness and i went to see the doctor in the morning bc i had a programmed appointment, i am 39 weeks pregnant. At the doctors they checked it out and said it was not yeast but the dr did not give me any other solutions for the discomfort. I was beneath the impression that it would go away bc he did not make a big traffic about it. since then (its now sunday) I hold had the same irritation and have looked at it myself and i'm and swollen. and one side is more swollen than the other. I call my nurse she just said to not worry but if anything bad happen go to emergency room. I'm going back to the doctors on wed for another appt. does anyone kno what it might be? i was thinking unthinking form soap powder or the baby's weight pushing down swelling things?

Answer: it sounds like thrush i could hardly meander when i was pregnant because it was so uncomfortable ring your midwife and ask her for the thurs pessary its a tablet that you enjoy to insert into your vagina i did mine when i went to bed as when you don't move it stops the infection more quicker when you use this you will feel a lot better so ring your midwife asap to get hold of your perscription also tell her how much pain you are in and that the doctor said it be nothing good luck
