yeast infection 36 weeks pregnant...?

i have been diagnosed with a yeast infection and my doc prescribed a seven daytime regimen to treat it. i am one centimeter dialated. is it safe to use the treatment/medication? i am worried that i may lose my mucus plug or my water will break and the medicine could affect the child. has anyone ever delt with this??

im the same i own a uti and im on a 7 day med ...its safe doc wouldnt give u anything to hurt the infant..... and if u lose ur mucos or water breaks ...has nothing to do beside the med it has to do with ur body is ready....

I haven't dealt near your exact situation. Did your doctor prescribe an oral or vaginal medication? If it's oral, I wouldn't worry about it hurting your baby. If it's vaginal, I doubt it'd hurt the kid, but I'd call the doctor and voice my concern if I were you. I was diagnosed beside bacterial vaginosa (similar to a yeast infection) a week ago and was put on an oral antibiotic. I'm 29 weeks pregnant, so not quite as far along as you are, but I asked the doctor about the microbes possibly hurting my doctor. He said that only if my water broke could it become a potential problem, but he doubted it would. I would go ahead and use the medication if I be you. If there were a potential problem your doctor would have told you give or take a few it. Good luck!

Ur cervix with the sole purpose begins to dilate when ur labor begins, unless u have cervical incompetence which i dont chew over is the case. Ur dr only does what is best for u. use them at night, put them within as u shower. No plug or water will break. Goodluck with the rest of the pregnancy!
